Recall Check & Lookup

A vehicle recall check is a free service that allows you to check whether your car has been recalled by a manufacturer or not. A manufacturer initiates an auto recall if the car or its separate parts fails to meet safety standards; therefore, it’s no longer safe to drive. Typically, the manufacturer sends a notification, but sometimes an owner may not receive it. If you want to know whether there are pending recalls, use our free recall check by VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

Why Vehicles Could be Recalled

A vehicle fails to meet minimum safety standards: If the vehicle isn’t safe to operate, the manufacturer may repair it or even repurchase it.

Equipment fails to meet minimum safety standards: If the equipment poses a threat to safety when driving, the manufacturer needs to reinstall it.

The model has required repairs: Some models may be riskier than others, so the manufacturer must solve the problem.

Some parts require change or repair: In case the particular parts increase the risk of unsafe drive, they should be changed by the manufacturer.
